The short version

Fingertips does not collect, transmit or store your personal data. Your snippets stay on your device. There is no account to create, no server to sync to, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

What stays on your device

Everything you save - text, links, images, files, titles, tags and how often you use each item - is stored on the device, in the app's own storage. It is shared with the Fingertips keyboard, share extension and widgets through an app group on that same device, so that they can show you your own snippets. None of it leaves the device.

Text recognition in images, tag suggestions and generated titles all run on-device using Apple's built-in models. Nothing is uploaded to be processed.

The keyboard and Full Access

The Fingertips keyboard requires Full Access. An iOS keyboard extension cannot read the snippets the main app saved for it without that permission. Fingertips does not log, store or transmit anything you type. It has no network code in the keyboard at all.

Purchases

Fingertips is a paid app with a free trial. The purchase itself is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account.

To check whether a purchase belongs to you across your devices, the app uses RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier, the transaction information Apple provides, and basic technical details such as the platform, country and app version. It never receives your snippets or anything you have typed. RevenueCat acts as our processor for this.

iCloud

This version of Fingertips does not sync. Nothing is written to iCloud. If syncing is added in a future release, it will use your own private iCloud database, which Apple encrypts and which we cannot read, and this page will be updated before that release ships.

Children

Fingertips is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly edited in.
